Saratoga County is honored to have this national veterans' cemetery. It will serve burial needs of many veterans from the county and across the nation.
U.S. Representative Gerald Brooks Hunt Solomon was known as a champion of veterans' causes. Among his accomplishments, he spearheaded the effort to create the cabinet-level Department of Veterans Affairs and successfully led a drive to establish this national cemetery in which he is now interred. To search for a particular name and gravesite in this cemetery go to the Nationwide Gravesite Locator Advanced Search .
Enter on that page the last name of the person you wish to find. If you want to browse surnames beginning with a certain initial letter, enter that initial in the surname box and select "Begins with" rather than "Exact match" then select "Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery" from the drop-down cemetery list and click "Search Now." This database is updated almost daily. I checked on August 26 for an interment completed on August 25 and it was included.
