When you see the phrase "More info." you can click on that phrase for

Many of the records refer to MA01, "Massachusetts Soldiers and Sailors in
the War of the Revolution." While the inclusion of the militia
regiments was straightforward, there were 15 continental line regiments
at the battles whose records do not specifically list Saratoga battles
information. However, the national archives confirm that the persons
included were there during the battle dates. Also, some participants are
listed as being in a Colonel's, Lieut. Colonel's or Major's company.
These types of companies did not exist until after the battles,
but the additional information in each record usually indicates who the
Captain was in 1777.

Congress, of the 13th New Hampshire regiment of militia. In 1776, he marched
with his regiment to the relief of Ticonderoga, and in 1777, marched from
Cornish to the Hudson. The regiment was encamped immediately opposite
General Burgoyne's Army. After participating in the battle of Saratoga he
drew up the Articles of Convention for the Surrender of General Burgoyne.
Other: he was born 1732 in Sutton MA, died 1800 in Cornish NH. He married

Raised a company at the first alarm, was a captain at the siege of Boston;
a Major in the 2nd New Hampshire Regiment in 1775, in the 8th Continental
Infantry in 1776, a Lieut. Colonel in the 1st N. H. Regiment in 1776, then
Colonel, succeeding Stark, 22 Feb 1777. Participated in battle at Ticonderoga
and both battles at Saratoga. Suffered severe losses in battle of 19 Sep. He
heard British in that battle, order fixed bayonets and charge. He did the same
and when they delivered their fire, advanced with bayonets. On 7 Oct his
regiment forced their way into the British camp and captured artillery. He
was at Valley Forge, Stony Point, Monmouth and the surrender of Cornwallis.
Other: He was born 1734, in Nottingham, N. H., where he died, 25 Aug 1799.
His father was Captain Joseph Cilley, an early New Hampshire settler
His mother Alice died in 1801 at age 100. His parents had ten children:
