When you see the phrase "More info." you can click on that phrase for

Many of the records refer to MA01, "Massachusetts Soldiers and Sailors in
the War of the Revolution." While the inclusion of the militia
regiments was straightforward, there were 15 continental line regiments
at the battles whose records do not specifically list Saratoga battles
information. However, the national archives confirm that the persons
included were there during the battle dates. Also, some participants are
listed as being in a Colonel's, Lieut. Colonel's or Major's company.
These types of companies did not exist until after the battles,
but the additional information in each record usually indicates who the
Captain was in 1777.

Haddle, William:

Virginia Reg. on 4 Aug 1776 for the war. In Jun 1777, he was detached to
Col. Morgan's Rifle Regiment through May 1779 in one form or another. In
Jul 1777, with Capt. William Henderson's Co., through May 1777. Awarded
an extraordinary month's pay by the Continental Congress for his unit's
performance at Saratoga. Then with the late Capt. Gabriel Long's Co. of
detached riflemen, discharged from that company on 1 Aug 1779. Was probably
in Anderson's Co. while serving in the north with the remnants of Morgan's
Rifle Regiment. He returned to the First Virginia in Aug 1779 but with
Pelham's Co. joining from Oswego, New York. His last report was in Nov
1779 and the rest of the war should have been spent in the south.

and enlisted at the age of 18 with men from Dracut, MA. After his
service in the Revolutionary War he returned to Dracut. He was married
to Betty or Betsy Curtis in Dracut in 1787. They had a daughter Betsy
born in Dracut in 1788. They had three other children probably all
born in Dracut - Timothy, Sukey/Sally, and Almira. Sometime between
1800 and 1805 Timothy Hall and his family moved to Pembroke, NH. Son
Timothy died in 1811 and is buried in the Pembroke Street Cemetery
along with his mother Betsy who died sometime before 1820. The town
believes that Timothy Sr. is also buried there though his name is not
on the stone. Timothy was alive in 1850 and was age 91.

Hardin, John:
Additional military information: An Indian fighter, at Saratoga was on
reconnaissance mission to capture British officers for information. Captured
two officers, scalped and killed a Mohawk Indian who was with them. In 1774
(Lord Dunmore's War) he served as an ensign and was wounded in a fight with
Indians. He was 2d Lieut., 8th PA regt., 11 Aug 1776; 1st Lieut., 13 Jul 1777;
wounded at Stillwater, 19 Sep 1777; with Colonel Morgan in Nov 1777; resigned
in 1779; subsequently Brigadier-General Kentucky Militia; (per HE01).
As lieutenant in the Eighth Pennsylvania Regiment was sent to Pittsburgh where
they were involved in Indian fighting. He was detached from that regiment to
serve with Morgan at siege of Boston and the expedition to Canada, as well as
Saratoga. He returned to the Pennsylvania regiment on 1 Nov 1777 and was
involved in the fighting around Philadelphia. He resigned from the service in
1779. He moved to Kentucky and volunteered under General George Rogers Clark
for the campaign against the Wabash Indians and was appointed quartermaster of
the force. In 1784 he was chosen sheriff of the newly formed county of Fayette.
In 1789, he was named County Lieutenant, with the rank of colonel, in command
of the county militia. In May, 1792, General James Wilkinson, commanding the
American troops at Fort Washington urged Colonel Hardin to attempt to negotiate
a peace with the Indians in Ohio. He was murdered at age 39 by the Indians
while negotiating under a flag of truce. Counties in Ohio and Kentucky were
named after him.
Other: He was born in Fauquier Co. VA, 10 Jan 1753; died in Ohio, 1792.
His father was Martin Hardin. His wife was Jane Davies. They had two sons;
Martin D., b 21 Jun 1780, d 8 Oct 1823 and Mark, b 1782, who married Mary
Adair; and also had three daughters, Sarah (d. 1833), who married Barnabas
McHenry (d. 1833); Rosannah (b. 1791) who married Curtis Field; and
Elizabeth (1784-1845) who married 1805, Ebenezer Hancock (1780-1835) .
